François Naudé is an independent designer and programmer based in Cape Town, working internationally in the fields of interaction, computational and graphic design.

After graduating with a bachelors degree in Fine Arts from the University of Stellenbosch in 1995, he became part of the first generation of multimedia developers in South Africa. At the turn of the century he co-founded the multimedia studio, type01, and created altsense.net, an online forum and platform for user-contributed content.

Since 2002, he works both directly with clients and through collaborations on diverse projects that includes websites, installations and visual identities from concept through to delivery.

His work has been featured in industry-related publications and he has given talks locally and abroad about his interests in technology-enabled communication.
